Whatever the sport, Suunto’s 5 GPS Watch can record, monitor and analyse the data for more efficient training and better recovery. With over 80 preset sport modes, including cycling, running and swimming, the 5 uses GPS, wrist-based heart rate, speed, stroke rate and ascent amongst many other factors to provide a complete picture of the activity.

Bluetooth connectivity means that devices such as power meters and foot pods can be added, along with Suunto’s smartphone app for greater insight and recording along with notifications from the phone. When using the GPS the battery life is up to 40 hours, or if used for 24/7 activity and sleep tracking it can still run for up to seven days, providing valuable information into recovery levels. Recharging the lithium-ion battery is done via the supplied USB cable.

The unit itself is made from glass fibre reinforced polycarbonate, with a stainless steel bezel and mineral crystal glass for durability and aesthetics. The silicone strap fits wrists between 130-215mm in circumference and is supplied with alternative colour loops for personalisation.
