As the most accessible way into Cervelo’s most aerodynamic range, the P-Series 105 TT/Triathlon Bike is a fantastic option for triathletes or time triallers on a budget. It uses the same low drag frame as the higher-end models, with a carbon layup that combines efficient power transfer with sufficient compliance to stave off fatigue in longer events. Zipp’s Vuka Alumina basebar and extensions provide plenty of adjustability, which, along with the tri-specific saddle, makes it straightforward to find the perfect position to cheat the wind and get the power down.

The Boondocks-5D wheelset from AlexRims is good for training on or using in windy conditions, when the shallow profile rims won’t catch the crosswinds, and can be set up tubeless if preferred. Ever reliable, Shimano’s 105 11-speed groupset gives little away to higher-end kit in terms of shifting performance, and the TRP Spyre C mechanical disc brakes add good stopping power whilst keeping maintenance simple. The included Smartpak 400, Aerobottle 500 and rear hydration mount enable water and nutrition to be carried on longer races or rides without unduly compromising the bike’s aero performance.
